Laizhou Distillery is located in Qionglai, Chengdu, Sichuan—known as China’s “Millennia-old Liquor Town.” Covering 146,000 square meters, it has a planned annual capacity of 36,000 tons of spirits, representing 80% of China’s total whisky production. By 2025, Laizhou had laid down over 500,000 casks—already accounting for around 80% of the national stock—and aims to reach one million within the next five years.
STR Cask Finish · Partially Peated Malt， Red Wine Cask
From Laizhou’s own cooperage, crafted with hand-selected malt and a 72-hour fermentation. The casks undergo the STR process (Shaved, Toasted, Re-charred) to refine the spirit and enhance caramel sweetness. A touch of peated malt adds depth, bringing forth an intense character of smoky dried plum and wine-rich complexity.
Tasting Notes：A vibrant interplay of stewed apple and tangy preserved plum, layered with vanilla and creamy sweetness. Rich butter envelopes the palate with a lingering finish of caramel and soft smoke.
